Wet Rooms
Wet Rooms in Colchester
Wet rooms in Colchester and Ipswich.
We cover the above and surrounding area out to Bury and Clacton.
Here we have a few examples of our wet rooms as we not only install the normal bathrooms and showers but design wet rooms and lay altro floors.
WC and Basin
This wet room is a real luxury feature in a house. But it is not as expensive as you might imagine. Dave was looking at shower cubicles, some priced at eight hundred pounds. So with a huge saving there we talked him into a wet room which actually saved him money.
This room was never a bathroom but a dressing room. We converted it into an en suite wet room.
We boxed in and tiled over the pipework
WC seen through entrance.
We had to reduce the size of the room with a stud wall. The door will open onto the radiator. It is often useful to have the radiator behind a door to save wall space in the room.
Arched Wet Area.
This room was in a very old house. It was cleverly cut out of two bedrooms, so as not to loose a room. But it left very little room for a bath. The small bath had been badly fitted and had leaked ever since Don had moved in, resulting in a damaged ceiling and rotten plasterboard walls. Don wanted something more modern.
Shower Gully
So we suggested a wet room. We replaced the old rotting floorboards and plaster boards with Aqua board, which is totally water proof, then sealed over it with tanking. Tiled the floor and walls.
Soft lighting
The tiles are just a plain white which made the room look brighter and bigger.
The arch was difficult to tile but gave the room a lot of character.
Before
This room was in a very old house that had been neglected. The new owner, Jo, wanted something more modern.
So we suggested a wet room.
After
We replaced the old rotting floorboards with Aqua board, which is totally damp proof. We then buried some pipe work, tiled the floor and walls.
Body Jets
Nigle decided to have the state of the art shower in his wet room not knowing what he was letting himself in for. The plumbing and work involved was quite extensive.
Small Wet Room.
This small shower/cloakroom was very cramped with a shower tray on the right in the opposite corner to the WC.
WC
The hand basin moved to alongside the WC and the shower mixer repositioned to the centre of the right hand wall with the shower head opposite the hand basin so the water is directed away from the door.
Mosaic
Again, clean, bright white walls. Sheets of white mosaic were used for the walls. A multi coloured mosaic for the floor.
The corners of the walls were rounded off to give a circular look and the WC boxed in.
Enclosed WC
Note the lack of visible cistern and flush handle set in wall and the built in vanity.
This is a fair sized walk in shower room.
